Here are a few more ideas for whipping up your own kiwifruit creations:

  • Make a Golden Smoothie by peeling two gold kiwis and placing them in a blender or food processor with a peeled banana and 1/2 cup each of orange juice and yogurt. Blend until smooth, without crushing seeds. Serve in two tall glasses.
  • Use chopped kiwifruit as a topping for cereal, pancakes or waffles. Or fold chopped kiwifruit into pancake or waffle batter before cooking.
  • Feature gold and green kiwifruit on a fruit and cheese tray for a healthy snack or a light meal.
  • Dice green and gold kiwifruit with tomatoes, green onions, cilantro and peppers for a fruity salsa to serve with chips, grilled chicken or fish.
  • Fan kiwifruit slices across the top of a fresh fruit tart; or, use kiwifruit chunks as an ice cream topping.
  • Freeze chunks of gold or green kiwifruit, whole strawberries and melon balls on a skewer for a refreshing fruit kebab.
  • Add sliced green and gold kiwifruit to mixed fruit or green salads, pasta and chicken salads.
  • Mash or blend one kiwifruit with your favorite vinaigrette for a fruity twist to salad dressing.
  • Puree kiwifruit with lemonade, and freeze in small cups for a popsicle treat. Or, freeze the mixture in an ice cream maker for a simple sorbet.
  • Slice green or gold kiwifruit and freeze solid. Dip each slice in chocolate to cover 1/2 to 2/3 of the kiwifruit slice. Return to freezer and freeze until firm.
